BHM June – Juneteenth

They were free on paper — but not in practice.

On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas to announce the end of slavery — more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. That day became known as Juneteenth, a celebration of freedom delayed but not denied.

This design weaves together daily moments throughout June that speak to the ongoing fight for justice — from emancipation orders and civil rights battles to cultural breakthroughs and community victories.

June is about joy and justice, remembrance and resistance — and this tee carries all of that history in one powerful statement.
