February is where the world officially turns its eyes toward Black excellence, but we’ve been celebrating our history long before it was recognized. This design honors the legacy of Dr. Carter G. Woodson, who launched Negro History Week in 1926 — laying the foundation for what would become Black History Month.
Each date woven into this design marks a historic Black achievement — from groundbreaking firsts to powerful moments in arts, politics, resistance, and culture.
It’s more than a month. It’s a reminder that we are the architects of our own narrative.
